Raw material chemical supplier is looking to fill a critical Sales Representative position; home-based in the Phoenix, AZ area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a very successful regional chemical supplier focused on selling raw material commodity chemicals to a general industrial manufacturing market. Some of the key markets for this territory are Paint & Coatings, Metal Finishing, HI&I (household, institutional and industrial cleaners) Compounding, General Manufacturing, and Water Treatment. This is an exciting, fast-paced, and challenging position. It's a solid income and career growth opportunity as well.  There should be minimal overnight travel.

Responsibilities: Manage and aggressively grow an existing territory and account base in Arizona.  Most of the business will be in a 150-mile radius of Phoenix. Sell a broad range of commodity chemicals to a general industrial manufacturing market in the territory. The business requires selling on a commercial level to purchasing, operations, and sometimes laboratory personnel. Prospect for and develop new opportunities at existing accounts, as well as develop new accounts. Manage pricing, trouble shooting, new product introductions, etc. Communicate effectively with management, suppliers, and customers. Develop the sales strategy for the territory. Effectively use a CRM program to manage territory and account information.

Requirements: 4+ years of chemical industry sales experience or related industrial sales experience. A strong track record of sales success. High energy with the capacity to handle a large volume of activity. A college degree is required, but the concentration is open. Must be very professional, self-motivated, have competitive drive, and the ability to manage many activities, products, accounts, pricing, etc.

Company Information: Western Regional raw material chemical supplier.

Compensation: Base: $100,000 - $130,000 commensurate with experience. Plus, bonus targeted to pay at 20% of base salary annually.  Company car allowance. Excellent company benefits. Opportunities for career growth and advancement.
