US-based liquid inorganic commodity chemical supplier is looking to fill a Business Development Representative position based in the Riverside, CA area. The position will be focused mainly on prospecting and developing new accounts who have the potential of buying full-bulk and mini-bulk volumes of liquid inorganic commodity chemicals. The focus will be on selling to large & mid-sized manufacturing, and municipal accounts in San Bernardino County and Riverside County. Overnight travel is expected to be minimal, if any. Responsibilities: Prospect for new potential accounts throughout the Region. Sell full-bulk and mini-bulk volumes of commodity chemicals (Caustic Soda, Sulfuric Acid, Hydrochloric Acid, Bleach, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Bisulfite, Nitric Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Calcium Chloride, Aqua Ammonia, etc.). Manage and maintain all new business and grow the territory through new account development. Manage pricing and bids. Be a strong market and price steward. Develop long-term customer relationships. Develop the sales strategies by account and execute the plans. Communicate effectively across all functions within the organization. Travel overnight as needed. |

Requirements: 3 plus years of chemical industry sales experience or general industrial sales experience. Experience selling commodity chemicals is preferred. A “Hunter” for new business. A market and price steward. A college degree, but open on the concentration. |

Compensation: Base salary: $100,000 - $130,000 (Commensurate with experience). Plus, annual bonus in the 20% of base salary range, transitioning to an uncapped commission plan after one year. Generous car allowance. Profit sharing plan. Excellent company benefits. Opportunities for advancement. |
